Goal 1: 300 farmers or farm businesses across the region engaged in building skills and capacity in best practice land use and management on farms in the region by 2030.
Incorporate sustainable land use management into school curriculums

Goal 2: 50 coordinated, multi-site projects implemented to deliver and support profitable best practice land use and management on farms in the region by 2030.
Reduce financial risk exposure through sustainable land use

Improve soil health, structure and fertility

Goal 3: 10 research projects undertaken to investigate the potential for new techniques and technologies to advance best practice land use and management in the region by 2030.
Identify how best management practices can increase food quality
Improve understanding of the impacts of pests and diseases on agricultural production
Conduct research on managing and improving soil health
Conduct research on improving water use efficiency
Develop new production areas
Improve resilience to climate change
Develop calculation tools for farmers that focus on building the business case and economic motivation for sustainable land use practices
Goal 4: Farmers across an additional ~50,000 ha per year change their on-farm activities to achieve a total of at least 500,000 more ha under best practice land use and management by 2030.
Support farmers to attempt new best practice management options on their farms through for e.g. extension support, knowledge exchanges, financial incentives
Recognise the efforts of farmers making large-scale changes to their management practices on their own
Develop and promote an accessible education process to support farmers and land managers to include sustainable practices into their business plans, agronomic plans and budgets
Connect growers and land managers to the available calculation tools
Encourage knowledge sharing between farmers and Traditional Owners and Custodians in the region
Understand what resilient management practices are currently being used
Support peer-to-peer learning
Support farm business diversification
Goal 5: At least three new markets for sustainably farmed products developed by 2030, as an incentive for farmers in the region adopting best practice land use management.
Investigate traceability systems for sustainable products
Conduct research into market willingness to pay a premium for sustainable products
