Goal 1: Carbon emissions reduced by at least 50% by 2030, and on a clear trajectory towards net zero emissions by 2050.
Educate the community about climate change adaptation options
Create or promote climate change decision-support tools
Undertake community capacity building activities that enable informed decision-making, including with the region’s Aboriginal community
Undertake or update climate risk assessments
Increase the resilience of agricultural production systems to expected impacts of climate change
Increase the resilience of native biodiversity to expected impacts of climate change
Alleviate other existing pressures in the region that will interact with and exacerbate the impacts of climate change (e.g. invasive species, habitat loss)

Goal 3: 20 research or monitoring projects implemented to increase scientific knowledge and community awareness of the impacts of climate change on ecological function and sustainable production in the region by 2030.

Identify actions to reduce the impacts of climate change on biodiversity, agricultural production, human settlements, water or coastal and marine environments

Goal 4: Collaborative efforts result in the development and implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation plans in all Local Government Areas in the region by 2030.
